1. Due to liability concerns, a valid and current membership in ROAR is required to race at Rattlesnake Raceway. See the Requirements section under the Rules tab for details. ROAR membership is $25/year and the application form can be obtained on our Home page. ROAR membership gives you liability coverage in case of an accident.
2. Club Membership is $20/year. Club membership is not necessary, although it does brings voting rights in club affairs, and reduced race day fees.
3. Racers are expected to be courteous and mindful of other racers, and their surroundings. Respect the track and please clean up after yourself.
4. Rattlesnake Raceway prides itself on providing a safe and fun racing experience. Please take personal responsibility to maintain a safe environment at all times. If you notice a situation on the track that you think may be a safety concern, please inform someone right away!
5. Racers must turn marshal the race following theirs, unless they are also racing that race, in which case volunteers shall turn marshal in their place. When at all possible, veteran racers are expected to take the more difficult and demanding turn marshal positions. Performing your turn marshal duties is a priority over functioning as a pit crew for subsequent nitro races.
6. Club members are expected to assist in preparing the track on race day, and running the race. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, brooming the track pre race, watering the track in between rounds, assisting with setting up and running the lap counting system, and cleaning up after all of the races have been completed.
7. Club members are expected to assist newcomers whenever possible. Please try to remember how intimidating these vehicles and this hobby can be to a novice!
8. Rattlesnake Raceway allows only 1/8 and 1/10 scale Radio Control vehicles on our tracks! Please be respectful and courteous of all the hardwork that goes into maintaining a facility like this. Do not drive vehicles larger than 1/8 scale on our track, and please do not run on the track soon after it has rained. Give the track a day or two to dry out. The track will last longer as a result and will provide a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
8. Rattlesnake Raceway pays the bills and keeps the tracks in good condition by charging race entry fees on race day. If you are not interested in racing, but still want to play on the Club's tracks, then that is ok. You do not have to race to enjoy our tracks. But in order to continue to maintain our facilities and pay our lease we do ask for donations. Please contact one of the individuals on the contact page if you would like to help.
9. Have fun!
